Afterproduct spatter paint contains approximately 50% water which usually runs when the trunk area sweats. GM paint contains 30% and is far superior. Comments: None of the products available is an exact match with the original. This is not perfect but the best weve seen in paint of this quality. Note: Occasionally customers that order PK401 feel they have received PK400. As far as color goes, the grey in PK400 is very light, similar to concrete. The black in PK401 is actually a charcoal shade while the spatter is a very light aqua (at times the spatter almost appears white). 3 cans required for most trunks. We have found the Eastwood afterproduct brand spatter paint to be the best of the aftermarket paints. Although not an exact match to original it is the closest weve seen and very acceptable. Being water soluble, we strongly suggest finishing the trunk with PK405 clearcoat. 3 or 4 cans required for most trunks. PK405 Trunk Spatter Paint, Clear Coat (AP) ..... 7.50/ea.
