Since Pontiac restorations began, no one has ever located the unique muffler clamps used by the factory. Since these were not serviced by GM parts departments, afterproduct flat-sidedclamps have always been used, even by the most conscientious restorer. Comments: For the serious restorer, these exact clamps with the circular style outer profile were reproduced using samples from low mileage original exhaust cars and NOS accessory exhaust extension kits from 1966. Note: We are unsure about 64 and 65 cars, but believe these clamps were used and this style clamp was dropped in either 1974 or 1975.
