Page 139 of Classic Pontiac GTO Catalog by Ames Performance Engineering1-800-421-2637 139 N179EK N179EK 1967-69 R/A HO Positive Battery Cable Shield (APE) .............................................. 29.00/ea. All 1967-69 R/A and HO positive cables were routed originally through a tube attached to the L.H. motor mount (Part #9789780). They are a necessity for both the restored and street-driven R/A and HO cars since they keep the cable away from the hot exhaust manifolds. No engine detailing is complete without this shield since most were discarded years ago. Note: Although GM used the same part number for 1967-69, the 67 shield used larger tubing. N179T 1964-67 R/A HO Header Pipes 2 1/4 (RE)......... $129.00/pr. These pipes are to be used with original or reproduction 1967 R/A exhaust manifolds. N179U 1968-69 R/A HO Header Pipes 2 1/4 (RE)......... 129.00/pr. N179V 1970-72 R/A HO Header Pipes 2 1/4 (RE)..... 129.00/pr. Note 1: N179T-N179V can be used with both original or reproduction 1968-72 D-port and round-port R/A exhaust manifolds. Note 2: N179T, N179U and N179V will be needed when converting your car from either standard exhaust manifolds or headers to R/A exhaust manifolds. Unlike mufflers and tail pipes these header pipes are very difficult to duplicate. Header pipes are aluminized. Note 3: N179T-N179V header pipes cannot be used with standard exhaust manifolds. Pipes do not come with flanges. See N180 N180A. Please add $12.00 shipping for header pipes. EXHAUST FLANGES STUDS N180 N180A N180 1967-72 HO R/A Cast Exhaust Flange For 2 1/4 Pipe (3-bolt) (RE) .................... 21.00/ea. N180A 1968-72 HO R/A Cast Exhaust Flange For 2 1/4 Pipe (2-bolt) (RE)..................... 21.00/ea. N180 3-bolt flanges are used on both sides of the 1967 engines. For 1968-72 cars, the RH manifold uses a N180 3-bolt flange while the LH uses a N180A 2-bolt flange. Quality: Excellent. N180AE 1967-72 HO R/A Cast Exhaust Flange For 2 1/2 Pipe (3-bolt) (RE) .................... 25.00/ea. N180AF 1968-72 HO R/A Cast Exhaust Flange For 2 1/2 Pipe (2-bolt) (RE)..................... 25.00/ea. N180AB 1964-67 2 Bolt Exhaust Flange, All V-8 w/o Ram Air or HO (AP)) ........................ 9.00/ea. N180AC 1968-72 2 Bolt Exhaust Flange, All V-8 w/o Ram Air or HO (AP) ......................... 9.00/ea. N180B N180B 1967-77 Stainless Exhaust Manifold Stud and Bronze Nut (with RA HO) (APE)......... 3.50/ea. These studs and nuts should be used with new exhaust flanges or when your HO or R/A header pipe is changed. With these stainless steel studs and bronze nuts you will eliminate the chance of broken flange studs and exhaust manifolds. Note: N180B studs are for R/A and HO manifold applications only. Standard manifold studs are available use part #N180BF. N180BF 1964-77 Stainless Exhaust Manifold Stud and Bronze Nut (w/o R/A or HO) (APE) ........ 3.50/ea. N180C N180C Solenoid Heat Shield (w/Pont V-8) (RE).. $12.00/ea. Originally designed for the 67 HO and R/A applications, this stainless shield helps insulate the starter solenoid from exhaust manifold heat. Shield can be used on any GTO LeMans, or Ventura Pontiac V-8 to help reduce hot start problems and prolong solenoid life. Will not work with N180G. HEAT SHIELDS HEADER PIPES N180D 1964-77 Battery Cable Heat Shield (4" long) (RE). 11.00/ea. N180E 1964-77 Battery Cable Heat Shield (4 1/2" long) (RE) 11.00/ea. These original-style heat shields attach to the drivers side head bolt and run down between #5 and 7 exhaust ports. Note: N180D and N180E cannot be used with R/A or HO exhaust manifolds. IMI HIGH TORQUE STARTER N180D N180E N180G N180G 1964-77 High Torque Starter (w/Pont V-8) (AP)............................................................ 209.00/ea. As we all know, Pontiacs have a common hot start problem. We have found a cure. This high torque, light weight, compact design produces in excess of 525 ft. lbs of torque (Stock is about 190 ft. lbs). The special heat-dissipating solenoid makes for easy and consistent starts. The starter comes with bolts, shims, and instructions.[close] |
