These belts are embossed with GM logo, Pontiac part number, two letter broadcast code and date code. Addition of these belts is not only a great complement to your engine compartment, but also a great way to be a step above the competition at shows. Due to GMs superceding part numbers some listings may not match the parts book for that model year. Date Code Information: Before ordering please verify the vehicle build date from the cowl plate to ensure the proper date-code for your application. We offer two date-code options for each belt: 3rd quarter and 1st quarter. Belts were manufactured one to six months prior to the vehicle manufacture date. Example 1: A 1965 car built 08C (3rd week in August 1964) would require a 3rd quarter date code (3Q64). Example 2: A 1965 car built 04B (2nd week in April 1965) would require a 1st quarter date-code (1Q65). When ordering please add the appropriate datecode suffix to the correct part number for your application. A=3rd Quarter B=1st Quarter Example 1: N329A with the A suffix added will give you N329AA a 1964 alternator belt w/o PS, w/o AC, with a date-code 3Q63. Example 2: N329A with the B suffix added will give you N329AB a 1964 alternator belt w/o PS, w/o AC, with a 1Q64 date code.
