Since Pontiac restorations began, no one has ever located the unique muffler clamps used by the factory. Since these were not serviced by GM parts departments, afterproduct flat-sided clamps have always been used, even by the most conscientious restorer. These clamps were reproduced using samples from low mileage original exhaust cars and NOS accessory exhaust extension kits from 1966. Comments: These exact clamps with the circular style outer profile are for the serious restorer. Note: We are unsure about 64 and 65 cars, but believe these clamps were used. These unique clamps were used on all 64-72 GTOs and LeMans with dual exhaust. Use with L137F or L137FK for final exhaust detailing. Note: Weve also found that many factory exhaust extensions were held on with these band clamps. When installed they are less noticeable than the standard u-shaped clamp. (Be sure extension is clamped firmly when using L137G and L137H). L137F L137G EXHAUST EXTENSIONS L137 L137 1964-65 Exhaust Splitters (RE) ................................ 259.00/pr. This is the reproduction splitter made available years ago. No longer is the upper portion welded but is now stamped like originals. The pipes are original-style rolled stainless. L138 L138 1966-68 Stainless Exhaust Extensions 2 (APE) ..... $69.00/pr. These extensions have the same dimensions as original for all 1966 and those 1967-68 cars with automatic transmissions (or any 2" OD exhaust system). Comments: Excellent these extensions are our own product and made of stainless steel as were the original GM pieces. Their quality and longevity make these one of our finest reproductions. Some other companies make this extension, but not in stainless steel. L139 L139 1967-68 Chrome Exhaust Extensions with Manual Transmission 2 1/4 (APE).......... 59.00/pr. These extensions are for use on 1967 and 1968 cars equipped with manual transmission (or any 2 1/4 exhaust system). Comments: Excellent we (like GM) made these extensions using chrome-plated steel. As with any chrome-plated extension, longevity will not be as good as the stainless units. L139C 1966-68 Stainless Exhaust Extensions 2 1/2 (AP) 61.00/pr. Quality: Polished stainless is fair to good.
