Photography and Graphic Arts 177 Definition The Photography and Graphic Arts programs are directed toward individual artistic development with an emphasis on developing the students ability to create independent works. It introduces the student to the multiple elements of computer- photographic imaging using the Macintosh microcomputer. The program also allows the student to explore line photography, halftone photography, and three color separation techniques. Distinctive Features Photography and graphics courses are directed toward vocational and artistic application of the acquired skills within each of the designated areas. Of these 18 units, at least 12 must be from the required certificate courses rather than the lists of elective courses. (See Graduation/ Associate Degree Requirements.) Transfer A Photography concentration is available through an Art major at CSU, Northridge. A student planning to pursue a bachelor's degree should complete the following courses prior to transfer.
