Includes the study of real property laws pertaining to contracts, deeds, land titles, liens, escrows, leases, financing, land description, brokerage, and selling. Designed for persons preparing for the California real estate license examination. (CSU, AVC) An intense short-term course designed specifically for reviewing the real estate terminology, mathematics and other test material which is on the State license examination. (AVC) Professional activities of the broker and salesman in the real estate business. Special attention to the real estate office, listings, valuation of listings, prospecting, advertising, exchanges, property manage- ment and leasing, land utilization and development, public relations, supervising the sales force, and ethics of the real estate business. (CSU, AVC) RE 52 *REAL ESTATE FINANCE A practical course in real estate financing, with actual case illustrations demon- strating lending policies, problems, and risks involved in financing transactions in residential, apartment, commercial, and special purpose properties. Includes a study of techniques of mortgaging, legal aspects of mortgages and mechanics liens, nature of mortgage and equity capital, where and how best to obtain funds, appraising for mortgage lending purposes, procedures to follow in financing real estate sales and exchanges, junior financing, and mathematics of real estate finance. (CSU, AVC) A course in California real estate property law with emphasis on practical applications. Includes a study of sources of real estate law, classes of property, fixtures, easements, estates or interests in real property, contracts of sale, covenants, conditions, and restrictions. Pertinent State and Federal Court cases are reviewed and discussed, and the student is made aware of any State and Federal legislation and administrative regulations restricting the division and development of land. (CSU, AVC) A first course in real estate appraisal confined largely to residential property and to investment property valuation. Includes the study of methods and techniques for determination of value for loan and insurance purposes. Case study situations are used. (CSU, AVC) A second-level course in real estate appraisal. It includes a study of the cost approach, income approach, and market data approach for the determination of value as it applies to residential, commercial and industrial properties. Problem solving through case study situations are used. (CSU, AVC) A study of the economic aspects of real estate and land use. Designed to develop a grasp of dynamic factors which create values in real estate. (CSU, AVC) This course furnishes persons, private or career oriented, with fundamental principles and basic procedures involved in ordinary escrow transactions.
