3 units 3 hours weekly Advisory: Eligibility for ENGL 50BR4, ENGL 51BR2 and MATH A. 3 units 5 hours weekly (2 hours lecture, 3 hours lab) Advisory: Eligibility for ENGL 50BR4, ENGL 51BR2 and MATH A. 3 units 5 hours weekly (2 hours lecture, 3 hours lab) Advisory: Eligibility for ENGL 50BR4, ENGL 51BR2 and MATH A. 1-4 units hours vary Prerequisite: Completion of 12 units of college work, and registration in a total of 8 units in courses leading to a major related to work experience assignment, and approval of instructor supervising work experience area. 58 Agriculture/Animal Science AG 85 *FEEDS AND FEEDING A general study of the constituents of feed: carbohydrates, proteins, fats, minerals, vitamins, water, their utilization by the animal body. The digestive system and the processes of digestion and assimilation of the various feed constituents will be discussed. Practice will be given in balancing standard livestock rations. (CSU, AVC) AG 86 *HORSE HUSBANDRY A basic, introductory course in Horse Husbandry, organized around the horse husbandry principles of California. It will include selection, breeds, breeding, training, feeding and equipment as related to horses or livestock. (CSU, UC, AVC) AG87 *SWINE PRODUCTION Swine industry in the United States with emphasis on local conditions. Includes breeds, market classes and grades of swine, types and phases of production, marketing and management, and carcass appraisal. (CSU, UC, AVC) AG99R *WORK EXPERIENCE Provides combined related vocational classroom instruction with on-the-job employment experiences directly related to a students occupational objective. Students meet with instructor by arrangement to discuss experiences and or problems arising on the job. (CSU, AVC)
