Agriculture/Park and Landscape Management 61 LNDSC 73B *PLANT IDENTIFICATION II Study of common ornamental and native plants used in California landscapes. Includes the size, shape, growth habits and the landscape value of each plant. Approximately 280 trees, shrubs, ground covers, houseplants, and annual flowers will be covered. A leaf collection is required. The plants covered in this class are different than LNDSC 73A. (CSU, UC, AVC) LNDSC 77 *NURSERY PRACTICES A general course in ornamental horticulture with emphasis on plant propagation. Includes nursery structures and layout, seeding, transplanting, potting, bailing, canning, fertilizing, pest control, plant disease and abnormalities. Propagating and planting mediums, their preparation and use. The use and maintenance of common tools and equipment. (CSU, AVC, 2+2) LNDSC 78 *INTERIOR PLANTSCAPE This course will study common plants used in interior plantscape. It will discuss how to use plants in the home or office, what plants are best suited, pests and diseases, and the environment needed to keep the plants alive. (AVC) LNDSC 80 *PLANT AND LANDSCAPE MAINTENANCE Skills used in a typical landscape maintenance program with emphasis on the plants in the landscape. Including, but not limited to, planting, pruning and care of shrubs and trees. Care of turf areas will also be covered. (AVC, 2+2) LNDSC 81 *TURF AND LANDSCAPE MAINTENANCE Skills used in a typical landscape maintenance program with emphasis on turf and ground covers in the landscape. Including, but not limited to, planting and care of turf. Care and pruning of shrubs and trees will also be covered. (AVC, 2+2) LNDSC 82 *LANDSCAPE MANAGEMENT Theories and practice in landscape drawings, interpretation of plans, cost estimating, and supervision of personnel. (AVC) LNDSC 99R *WORK EXPERIENCE Provides combined related vocational classroom instruction with on-the-job employment experiences directly related to a student's occupational objective.
