To give students an understanding of the principles of art and the elements of design that are essential to all art forms from the earliest of cultures to the art of today. Introduction to the principles, theories, and techniques of 2-dimensional painting in acrylic, oil, or alkyd. Emphasis is on the organization of subject matter in terms of composition and individual interpretation. Supplies will cost student approximately $40.
