114 Computer Graphics CG 35R2 *COMPUTER IMAGES AND ADVERTISING DESIGN 3 units 6 hours weekly Course Prerequisite: Completion of CG 2. Advisory: Eligibility for ENGL 50AR4 and ENGL 51BR2. This course will train students in the use of cameras and lighting of products for finished photos to be placed in catalogs, posters, magazines, newspapers and books. Instructional materials fee required for this course and must be paid at registration. Abroad-based introduction to the multiple elements of commercial presentation using the microcomputer. This course is designed to provide a basic foundation in the use of electronic presentation techniques for developing presentation notes, audience handouts, flipchart presentations, black and white transparencies, color transparencies, and the production of 35mm slides. (CSU, AVC) CG 43R2 *COMPUTER ANIMATION 3 units 6 hours weekly Course Prerequisite: Completion of CG 2. Advisory: Eligibility for ENGL 50AR4 and ENGL 51BR2. This course provides the student with a basic overview and development in computer techniques required for the production of animated productions. Topics will include palette animation, audio implementation and recording finished work to video tape or CD-ROM systems that serve cross platform operating systems such as Macintosh and Windows environments. (AVC) CG 46 *PORTFOLIOS AND JOB SEARCH PLANNING 3 units 6 hours weekly Advisory: Students should have completed at least four courses in the Computer Graphics or Photography/ Photographic Imaging category. Instructional materials fee required for this course and must be paid at registration. This course provides the student with the necessary skills associated with developing an employment presentation portfolio, training in various interview techniques, developing an employment search operational plan, and appropriate researching of prospective employees. Cost for supplies beyond the instructional materials fee of $20 is approximately $55. (CSU, AVC, UC pending) CG 47R4 *SPECIAL STUDIES IN COMPUTER GRAPHICS 1-3 units 3-9 hours weekly Limitation on Enrollment: Review of portfolio. Instructional materials fee required for this course and must be paid at registration. This course provides the student with the ability to conduct advanced individual study of projects in the field of computer graphics under instructor guidance. Attendance and periodic student/instructor conferences required. Content and unit credit to be determined by student/ instructor conferences and/or department.
