Each summer, the Musical Theatre Institute Orchestra prepares music for public performance as part of the Musical Theatre Institutes annual two-week performance schedule of a large-scale Broadway-style musical. Students take part in weekly rehearsals in which they learn their individual melodies in relationship to other melodies occurring simultaneously. The instructor paces each rehearsal such that the performances at the end of the summer are of as high an artistic and technical standard as possible.
