Includes interclass matches. (CSU, UC, AVC) PE 12R4 *ADVANCED TENNIS 1 unit 3 hours weekly The student may achieve a high degree of skill in a carry-over sport. (CSU, UC, AVC) PE 13R4 *BEGINNING BALLET 1 unit 3 hours weekly A beginning course that introduces the student to the basic vocabulary, movements, and discipline of a classical ballet class. (CSU, UC, AVC) PE 13R4 *INTERMEDIATE BALLET 1 unit 3 hours weekly Advisory: Student should have completed one year of ballet classes. A course which uses the basic movements of beginning ballet as a base and progresses to a higher degree of difficulty and competency. (CSU, UC, AVC) PE 14R4 *BEGINNING VOLLEYBALL 1 unit 3 hours weekly This course will emphasize the fundamental skills and playing techniques of power volleyball. Also stresses the rules and regulations of the NAGWS-National Association of Girls and Womens Sports Guide. (CSU, UC, AVC) PE 14R4 *INTERMEDIATE VOLLEYBALL 1 unit 3 hours weekly Advisory: Student should have proficiency in the skills of passing and setting. A course designed for all students stressing advanced techniques and fundamental skills of power volleyball. Also included are rules and regulations of tournament league play and knowledge of team strategy. This course is well suited for any student who has completed beginning volleyball. (CSU, UC, AVC) PE 14R4 *ADVANCED VOLLEYBALL 1 unit 3 hours weekly Advisory: Student should have proficiency in the skills of passing and setting. Advanced Volleyball is a continuation of Intermediate Volleyball with achievement of a higher performance level in the basic techniques of power volleyball. It differs from Intermediate Volleyball in that set patterns and systems of offense and defense are used in the team strategy as well as the rules and regulations of the NAGWS- National Association of Girls and Womens Sports Guide. (CSU, UC, AVC) PE 15R4 *ADVANCED BASKETBALL TECHNIQUES (formerly PE 15A, 15B, 15C, 15D) 1 unit 3 hours weekly Advanced skills and techniques of basketball will be taught in the course. An emphasis will be placed upon learning advanced strategy and teamwork. The student will learn the rules, theory, and philosophy of intercollegiate basketball. (CSU, UC, AVC) PE 16R4 *ADVANCED BASEBALL TECHNIQUES (formerly PE 16A, 16B, 16C. 16D) 1 unit 3 hours weekly Advanced skills and techniques of baseball will be taught in the course. An emphasis will be placed upon learning advanced strategy and teamwork. The student will learn the rules, theory, and philosophy of intercollegiate baseball.
