Goals add purpose to life and they give us direction. But how do we set goals? Try the BCP method, which stands for brainstorming, consolidating and prioritizing. When brainstorming, write down all your goals, no matter how large or small. If it seems like a goal that you would like to someday accomplish, write it down. Try to be somewhat realistic. The next step is to consolidate similar ideas and group these goals into one goal. By consolidating your goals, you can be realistic about which goals are attainable. The final step in the BCP method of goal setting is to prioritize your goals. In other words, what goals should be met first in order to effect the outcome of your remaining goals. How you prioritize your college goals can have a major impact on all aspects of your life. Take a few moments to consider some of your goals. Now, list them in the section provided.
