Computer Graphics Courses CG 101 *INTRODUCTION TO DIGITAL MEDIA ARTS Same course as MM 101. 3.5 units 7.8 hours weekly (6 hours lec/lab, 1.8 hours lab) Advisory: Completion of ART 110, and Eligibility for READ 099. Instructional materials fee required for this course and must be paid at registration. This course provides the student with the necessary introduction to common com- puter functions and support equipment typically used in a graphics and interactive multimedia program based on computer technologies. Emphasis will be placed on the appropriate use of a Graphical User Interface, graphical input and output devices, electronic collaboration capabilities for graphic artists, and systems management between and for Macintosh Operating Systems and Microsoft Windows. Furthermore, students will be exposed to history and terminology associated with advanced graphics and interactive media technology, team roles, design principles, and production requirements of computer graphics and multimedia development on[close] |
