Management

Management

This course provides a review as
well as some new insights into pro
viding patient care to the trauma
patient. This course is interactive

EMS 242 Advanced Cardiac
Life Support

This course provides didactic and
psychomotor skill training rein
forcement in Advanced Cardiac
Life Support techniques. This
course is an intensive certifica
tion course and students must
have a basic understanding of the
concepts which are included in
the course. Includes endotracheal
intubation, defibrillation, dysrhyth
mia recognition, cardiovascular
pharmacology, and neonatal resus
citation. Required for American
Heart Association Advanced Life
Support Certification. Required for
Paramedic certification and recer
tification. This course meets con
tinuing education requirements for
Paramedics, RNs, and Physicians.

EMS 243 Pediatric Advanced
Life Support

This course will focus on informa
tion essential to pediatric emergen
cy care. The learner will develop
an understanding of the current
treatment modalities for the func
tional survival of critically ill and
injured children. Emphasis will be
placed on current American Heart
Association guidelines for Pediatric
Advanced Life Support, and/or the
American Academy of Pediatrics,
Pediatric Education for Pre-Hospital
Professionals course. This course is
approved for continuing education
credit for Arizona DHS category II
requirements; National Registry
section II at the Basic EMT and

Resuscitation Program

This course will focus on informa

Life Support

approach to the recognition and
