Program Purpose::
Graduates will demonstrate skills
that promote family strengths and prepare them to
obtain an entry-level position within the field.
Program Description:The proposed certificate pro
gram includes thirteen (13) credit hours. Each of the
prescribed courses of this program has an embedded
laboratory experience component essential for gapplica
tion of theoryh throughout the training period.
Following successful completion of the FDC cer
tificate,
individuals may apply for a nationally rec
ognized certification,The Family Development and
Training and Credentialing Program issued by Cornell
University.

Program Purpose:Graduates will demonstrate basic
knowledge in fire science that will prepare them for
employment as firefighters.
Program Description:Designed to equip students
with the knowledge and practical skills necessary
for certification as entry-level firefighters. Successful
completion with a gCh or higher allows students to sit
for the Firefighter 1 and 2 certification examinations as
conducted by the Arizona State Fire Marshallfs Office.
