BMW Motorrad Riders Apparel is characterized by high abrasion resistance, durability and an ideal fit.
Only materials of the very highest quality are used.
Leather
Not all leathers are the same and
we therefore ensure that we always
use the very best quality. Only cowhides from the European Alpine
regions, and the very best of these,
are the material we use in our jackets and trousers. The minimum
thickness is 1.2 mm, but this is
often exceeded. The abrasion
values are therefore excellent.
Dynatec
the safety plus factor
Active breathing textile, extremely
tear- and stretch-resistant (at
speeds up to approx. 50 higher
than Cordura 500 1) and extraordinarily comfortable to wear. With
part-integral wear protected and
reflective threads.
GORE-TEX Armacor
New, air-permeable, windproof and
permanently waterproof material,
which displays excellent abrasion
characteristics thanks to Kevlar
(approx. 100 improved crash
resistance compared to Cordura
500 1). For the first time, the GORE-
TEX membrane is not integrated
as an inner layer, but is directly
attached to the upper material.
This reduces the effect of the
upper material soaking up moisture
and the consequent penetration of
cold and increased weight of the
jacket.
InoTex
A great looker and a strong performer. Elastic cotton, impregnated
against water absorption, creates
a jeans appearance in the upper
material, and copious use of Kevlar
and Dynafil in the lower section
results in unusually good abrasion
characteristics. The final product is
that InoTex combines safety of a
high-tech textile with the casual look
and active breathing properties of
jeans.
Cordura 500/700
A specially developed nylon fabric
with highly active breathing properties. Achieves very good values for
tear and abrasion resistance and
has a high melting point of 410 F.
We always apply a double layer
in areas most at risk in a fall.
Cordura 700 is able to withstand
crashes at road speeds about 20 %
higher than Cordura 500. 1
