It can even be used with the original classic Mustang steering wheel, no adapter is required since the tilt column shaf t uses the Ford spline size. The tube is 2�h in diameter. Column has a 1�h DD shaft. All come with recommended mounting kit. Steering wheel is not included. Options: paintable steel (PS), stainless steel (SS), for use with original Mustang steering wheel, for use with non-original Mustang steering wheel, and for use with after market non-original Mustang steering wheel. IMPORTANT NOTE: These tilt steering columns require an installation kit to really make the installation quick and easy. You are going to need it or wish you had it. We feel it is better to know up front before you try to install the column without one. These boxes have praised in both Mustang Monthly and Mustang And zines. We have installed many of these boxes and we believe are superior to the original steering boxes, even when they new. Today�fs rebuilt steering boxes certainly work well, but, opinion, are signi cantly inferior to the new Flaming River gear boxes. These all new boxes feature a quick 16:1 ratio for responsive and precise steering system, improved needle bearing design for smoother operations, direct bolt-in, no modi required, anti-vibration collar on 1964-66 boxes, no core charge hassle with and a One year warranty. The 16:1 ratio is the same ratio used on all high mance Mustangs (GT, �gK�h car, Shelby, Mach 1 and Boss Power steering cars also feature the 16:1 ratio.
