Unfortunately none of the kits are truely com plete. K.A.R. has thoroughly researched front strut suspension. We have developed the only completely gturn keyh front strut conversion kit on the market today for 5-speed classics. We have installed the K.A.R. kit on three different 5-speed classic Mustangs with outstand ing results. No cutting or fabrication was necessary for the typical installation. Front strut suspension will greatly enhance the handling of a classic Mustang. Since our strut kits include front disc brak es with a dual reservoir master cylinder, enhanced stopping power is an added bene t. Modern V8 Mustangs are equipped with front strut suspension. These are great handling Mustangs and your classic can handle just as well. Like modern era Mustangs, K.A.R. strut kits for 5-speed cars includes rack and pinion steering and a tilt steering column that works well and is dif cult to distinguish from a stock column. The column can be painted to match your interior color. Driving a classic Mustang with modern era front suspension and steering is a real treat. Add the safety upgrade of front disc brakes and you really feel secure in your classic. TECH TIPS: Since wheels and tires are expensive items, it is important to note that every strut suspension kit we have studied requires 15 inch wheels with very speci c off-sets. 14 inch wheels will not work. Magnum 500 wheels with standard off-set will not work. K.A.R. has found specially manufactured 15 inch styled steel wheels and magnum 500 wheels that will work and t perfectly. We typically stock these wheels. We have also located aftermarket wheels well and look great.
