Race-oriented Performance
The combination of a short wheelbase with a long swingarm gives the Ninja ZX-10R incredibly
nimble yet stable handling performance. The concave tank top and an idealized relationship
between pegs, handlebars and seat, creates an aggressive, compact riding position. Close-ratio
transmission, slipper clutch, radial mount calipers, petal disc brakes and fully adjustable
suspension are also all designed to make the 10R unbeatable on the track.
Aggressive New Styling
One look says it all: this machine was born for the circuit. No frills, nothing superfluous. This is
the most purposeful looking machine in its category. A perfect example of function expressed as
form. The new fairing significantly improves the 10Rs aerodynamic efficiency at high speeds.
Aerodynamic performance and looks are further improved by the trick new dual under-seat
muffler.
Superior Cornering Performance
One of the most significant things we have learned over the years is that on
| 2006. ZX-14 is introduced. Time to earmark another page in the history books.
Like its predecessors, the Ninja ZX-14 was designed to set the standards for two-wheeled
excitement. Throw a leg over the ZX-14; you know that your sitting on the worlds most powerful
production motorcycle, a machine offering unparalleled levels of engine and chassis
performance in short, a supersport machine the likes of which the world has never seen.
Powered by an all-new engine force-fed with Ram Air and fuel injection, the Ninja ZX-14 churns
out arm wrenching levels of thrust. This is Kawasakis most powerful engine ever. Every twist of
the wrist brings a shot of adrenaline straight to the riders cerebral cortex.

MODEL CONCEPT
When Kawasaki introduced its flagship Cruiser, the Vulcan 2000, the world took notice. In
addition to housing the worlds largest V-Twin production engine, the machines low-and-long
chassis exuded quality and craftsmanship. For 2006, Kawasaki has spread its wings in the bigbore V-twin cruiser arena by adding another unique version of the Vulcan 2000 to the growing
line-up of cruisers populating Canadas back roads and highways. The Vulcan 2000 Classic LT
responds to consumer interest in an off-the-showroom floor dressed-up cruiser one that
comes with touring features designed to compliment the overall VN2000 styling, yet adding a
flavor all its own.
The Vulcan 2000 Classic LT makes its mark with riders more interested in weekend jaunts than
simply getting back and forth to work. While it comes loaded with special touring features as
part of the package, this motorcycle is eminently slated to be further cus

| The electronic fuel injection system, controlled by dual throttle valves, ensures silky smooth
response and easy-to-control torque characteristics.
Automotive-type fine-atomising injectors improve performance, fuel economy and emissions.
An auto-fast idle system is equipped with an rpm feedback relay ensuring a fixed (ideal)
engine speed in all starting conditions. (The feedback is used to control the sub-throttles to
obtain the desired rpm.)
Curved intake tracts provide an extremely efficient path for intake flow. Ports narrow as they
reach the combustion chamber, increasing intake flow speed for more efficient filling. The
result of the highly intake efficiency is improved torque.
Long intake tracts extend well into the air cleaner box. The longer path improves low-end
response.
Returnless-type pump inside the fuel tank prevents fuel starvation during hard braking or
acceleration. No return fuel line increases reliability.
Redesigned crankshaft and gear
| The new Uni-Trak linkage layout mounts the suspension arm below the swingarm, allowing
a longer suspension stroke per wheel travel. This makes it easier to tune the suspension for
various points on wheel travel positions.
The Uni-Trak rear suspension action is initially soft, but becomes much firmer near full
compression to prevent bottoming.
The linkage ratios suit the new frame and swingarm. Extensive rider testing has
determined the ideal linkage ratios and rear shock damping settings to achieve maximum
rear wheel traction.
The new rear shock features dual compression damping adjustability, allowing highspeed and low-speed damping to be tuned separately.
Shock compression damping is 22 click adjustable for low-speed while high-speed
damping is 2-turns or more adjustable.
Shock rebound damping features 22 click positions.
Rear spring is fully adjustable on its threaded collar.
Rear suspension travel is a long 315 mm.
| Chrome composite plating on the lightweight aluminum cylinder promotes rapid heat transfer
and superb wear resistance.
Improved low-rpm response comes care of a new reed valve stopper shape. The revised
shape improves scavenging efficiency by facilitating better airflow through the 3 rd
scavenging port.
New piston profile helps to reduce mechanical noise caused by piston slap.
New KIPS valve O-ring offers improved sealing performance. KIPS valve spring length is
adjusted for the new sealing method.
Close crankshaft web to crankcase tolerance promotes strong primary compression.
Crankcase design eliminates cast-in main bearing bushings to save weight while two large
cooling passages efficiently cool around the exhaust port.
New crankshaft secures the primary gear using a key and lock-nut (instead of a snap ring).
The reduced play helps reduce mechanical noise.
