New petal style brake discs front and rear help to reduce unsprung weight and the wave shapes of the petal discs help clean the brake pads for more efficient braking performance. Not satisfied with just titanium footpegs, we gave the KX450F titanium footpeg brackets as well to further reduce weight by approximately 140 g versus steel footpeg brackets. Aggressive tooth patterns on the footpegs and rear brake pedal to provide a solid feel and easier operation in difficult conditions. New works-style Renthal aluminum handlebar (standard-type) saves 0.3 kg in weight.
