MODEL FEATURES Engine Air-cooled, 49 cc, 2-stroke, single is extremely durable. Automatic clutch simplifies riding for the newcomer, allowing extra concentration on balance and control. Single-speed transmission with neutral position eliminates shifting while riding, further simplifying the learning process. Easy-to-use throttle limiter allows the top speed to be restricted to between 40 50 km/h. A power-reduction plate in the exhaust flange can further restrict top speed to 25 km/h. Automatic oil injection system eliminates tpre-mixing while assuring proper lubrication. Quiet, efficient muffler is fitted with a U.S. Forest Service approved spark arrester to help prevent wildfires and to allow access to designated public riding areas. Chassis Functional bodywork, with motocross-style fuel tank, seat, frame covers and fenders. The kick lever is designed for a neat fit with the right frame cover. Full suspension, with telescopic front fork and swingarm rear suspension. Adjustable seat height lets even the smallest riders reach the ground but lets the KDX50 grow taller as the kids get bigger. Seat height is adjusted at the rear by selecting upper/lower shock mounts and at the front by installing/removing fork tube spacers (included with the bike). Adjustable length side stand ensures that the motorcycle sits properly in high or low seat height setting. Wide front and rear drum brakes. 10-inch full knobby tires, front and rear. Motocross-style serrated footpegs and brake pedal. Bold colours and racy graphics give the KDX the look of a true motocrosser.
