Large, lightweight plastic skid plate covers the bottom of the frame to help protect the engine. Front fork with rigid 30mm fork stanchions combines with balanced chassis dimensions for easy handling. Seven inches of fork travel soak up the bumps. Single shock , link-type rear suspension with plenty of travel delivers smooth, progressive action for a more comfortable ride. Shock has threaded preload adjuster. Off-road tread tires provide good traction. KX-inspired styling, colors and graphics create a dynamic look. Slim seat and fuel tank provide a smooth transition for off-road riding. The KLX125 with its super low 775 mm seat height is friendlier for smaller riders: The KLX125 features 17-inch front and 14-inch rear wheels giving it a super low 775 mm seat height for shorter riders. Drum brakes front rear provide controlled stops on the KLX125. The KLX125L receives modifications to make it more suited for taller kids and adults: The KLX125L features larger 19-inch front and 16-inch rear wheels giving it a taller 805 mm seat height. Shorter final gearing (57/14 vs. 51/14) compensates for the larger diameter rear wheel. Steering angle is quickened 1 to 27 and trail is lengthened 11 mm to 99 mm. Rear suspension travel is increased 10 mm to 170 mm. The front brake on the KLX125L is upgraded to a drilled, 220mm disc gripped by a single piston caliper.[close] |
