Two-person mode. Tilting, long box. Four-person mode. Fixed, short box. Cargo box can tilt to empty payload or to access engine when in 2-person mode. Box can also be tipped in 4-person mode but requires stowing of the rear seating first. Cargo box siderails are constructed in two parts. The front parts fold in to make room for the rear seat. Cargo box width is 98 mm narrower than other 3000 series MULEs to allow it to fit between rear cab frame rails. Screen divider is easily relocated with its spring loaded pins. Ackerman rack-and-pinion steering provides precise, easy handling, and a tight turning radius while reducing tire wear. Independent MacPherson strut-type suspension allows each front wheel to track over uneven ground for maximum traction with light steering effort. Beefy 23" tires provide great off-road traction, ensure ample ground clearance and complement the pickup-truck styling.
