Engine The MULE 3010 Trans4x4 is powered by a hard working, 617cc, 4-stroke, 90 o V-twin, OHV, liquid-cooled engine. Compact, durable and powerful, the engine is mounted in a rubber isolated sub-frame to ensure low vibration levels. Overhead valves designed for efficient running and good fuel economy are durable and operate quietly. Thermal compression release design ensures easy starts on cold winter mornings. Twin-barrel carburettor features an anti-icing heater to ensure optimal running in all weather conditions. Digital igniter incorporates four-step timing for more stable combustion and improved startablitity. Cooling efficiency comes from the forward mounted radiator and large diameter (250mm) electric fan. Consistent operating temperatures with liquid cooling mean greater durability and quieter operation. A cyclone-airflow-type air cleaner with a snorkel intake routed through the tubing of the overhead frame provides the engine with a steady supply of clean air, even in dusty operating conditions. Air flow tell-tale alerts when engine air filter maintenance is due. Crankcase blow-by is routed to the air box for lower emissions. Transmission Drivetrain Belt-driven, automatic transmission shifts with a single lever for Forward High Low gearing, Neutral, and Reverse. High Low gearing offers great off road versatility. Selectable 4WD and limited-slip front differential provide exceptional tough terrain traction with low steering effort. Driver operated dual-mode rear differential provides maximum traction when locked but minimises ground disturbance when unlocked . CVT system features a belt-deflection adjuster to reduce maintenance cost. Transmission mounted throttle governor limits top speed to 40 km/h (25 mph) in High range. Torque converter air cleaner reduces torque converter wear by cooling it with filtered air taken in through the overhead cab frame.
