Final Drive
Limited-slip front differential (based on the KVF400 4x4) contributes to good handling over
rough terrain, providing great traction with low steering effort. Rear differential lock allows the
rear wheels to be locked for maximum traction in mud or snow. Ground disturbance is
minimized when unlocked.
Locking rear differential, governor, and 2/4WD bevel drive are integrated with the
transmission into one casing.
With a single casing it is possible to finely control component tolerances while substantially
reducing complexity. Single drivetrain oil level check is more convenient.
Selectable 2/4WD is a Kawasaki exclusive in this size category.
4WD is engaged in the rear bevel housing like the KAF620 however the 620 style cam
damper is not required in this model.
