Transmission Drivetrain
Belt-driven, automatic transmission shifts with a single lever for Forward High Low gearing,
Neutral, and Reverse. High Low gearing offers great off road versatility.
Selectable 4WD and limited-slip front differential provide exceptional tough terrain traction
with low steering effort.
Driver operated dual-mode rear differential provides maximum traction when locked but
minimises ground disturbance when unlocked .
CVT system features a belt-deflection adjuster to reduce maintenance cost.
Transmission mounted throttle governor limits top speed to 40 km/h (25 mph) in High range.
Torque converter air cleaner reduces torque converter wear by cooling it with filtered air
taken in through the overhead cab frame.
Chassis
Tough, welded steel frame can handle full loads day in day out.
Heavy 363 kg (800 lb.) load capacity cargo bed features a two-lever tailgate release system
for easier opening and closing.
Cargo box can tilt to empty payload. Tall box siderails (11.3 allow for increased load
volume.
The camouflage model (KAF620H6F) also includes a durable plastic box liner as standard
equipment.
Ackerman rack-and-pinion steering provides precise, easy handling, and a tight turning
radius while reducing tire wear.
Independent MacPherson strut-type suspension allows each front wheel to track over
uneven ground for maximum traction with light steering effort.
Beefy 23" tires provide great off-road traction, ensure ample ground clearance and
complement the pickup-truck styling.
DeDion overload-style rear suspension allows good unladen ride, yet is rugged and durable
under maximum loads.
Square type receiver hitch is standard equipment. Hitch uses common 1_x1_ tongue
available through hitch suppliers and Kawasaki accessories (p/n: KAF108A).
