miracosta.edu/noncredit types of classes while most noncredit courses are offered in a traditional face-to-face format some are offered online or as hybrids and meet the same academic requirements as their on-campus counterparts students should be familiar with each format before registering to ensure they choose the classes that best fit their learning styles and academic needs face-to-face classes require in-person weekly meetings students receive in-person instruction and may be assigned homework to complete online or outside of class hybrid classes at miracosta college require both in-person meetings and online activity which takes the place of some “seat time.” for example if a class meets 50 online a student may attend class two days per week and complete an additional two days worth of instruction and coursework online fully online classes at miracosta require all instruction coursework and activities to be completed online classes offered 100 online have no
