accessories mustang roadsters could be built a 1,000 different ways and hopefully open up a new market for people to build a mustang that hadn t considered building one before the street rodders so the work began george and i installed the chassis strengthening kit to a 1965 c code mustang coupe shell that i bought from the local scrap yard don t worry it was all ready scheduled to be crushed in the next couple of days so we actually saved a mustang a few days later ben flew in from phoenix and he and i designed the tonneau cover for the rear seat area it turned into quite a production taking great care to leave all of the trunk area intact so that there would be a usable trunk and no weakening in that area we actually built a tonneau cover onto the car and then made a fiberglass mold so that we could produce as many tonneau covers as we wanted we then broke the original tonneau cover off the car and fitted the first one that had been made from the mold about this time the ronster na

the ronster s day out by don tellyer people are always asking us if we ever drive the ronster well as these pictures show it does get a little road time now and then we changed the cars around in the showrooms recently and while the cool ronster was out of the building ron got the itch to take it out for a little spin i tagged along and shot a few photos of ron s little half-hour excursion with its newly painted and installed r2s hood the ronster practically screamed drive me 2 on the road knowing that ron is a racer at heart you shouldn t be surprised that the first thing he did was make a beeline for the nearest windy road located about a mile or so from the shop 3 6 9 it was a great day for a drive too just one more stoplight to go and we re home free finally a stretch of open road ron put the pedal down and the ronster through its paces it s 85° sunny and breezy does it get any better than cruising in an open top roadster 4 7 10 jammin down ijams road hey i m not making it up th
