Wattage Requirements for Choosing the Right Home Standby Generator System
A key in choosing the right system is determining your wattage requirements. An average homes essential appliances can be powered by a 5,000-7,000 watt generator. To determine your exact wattage requirements, make a list of all the appliances you plan to run simultaneously during a power outage, then add the total wattage. Check the appliances user manual or the data plate on the back
of the appliance to determine the exact wattage requirements, or use the wattage calculator on the B S website at: http://www.standbygeneratorsystems.com/select/wattage.cfm

Transfer Switches
With any of our Home Generator Systems, you have the option of using an automatic transfer switch for load management.
Your homes service breaker panel will tell you your current service amperage. Homes with 100 amp service will work with the 50, 100
and 200 amp switches. Homes with 200 amp service will work with the 50 and 200 amp switches.
