MSD Firewall Feed-Thru To prevent voltage leaks in passenger compartment mounted coil installations, MSD designed the Firewall Feed-Thru. Usually, in these type of installations, a hole is drilled in the firewall and the high tension coil wire is passed through with a rubber grommet. Even with the grommet, this type of installation does not provide the best voltage insulation. Molded from Rynite and nylon, the Firewall Feed-Thru provides 1/2 of insulation to ensure that the coils spark reaches the distributor.
