Student Activities
The Santa Rosa Junior College
Associated Students are the members
of the student body who have joined
the Associated Students by paying a
membership fee every semester. When
you join, you are entitled to free or
lowered admission to all home sporting events, dances, movies and other
events. Members also get a seven
dollar discount of parking fees and a
two dollar discount on motorcycle
parking. They also can receive discounts up to forty percent from many
local merchants. Another benefit of
membership is the eligibility to run for
one of the many student government
offices. Members are also eligible for
an emergency loan from the revolving
book loan fund or the Associated
Students short-term loan fund.
Associated Students is active in the
campus community and gives financial
support to many programs on campus
that benefit students. They support in
part or in total the following programs/services: Intercollegiate
athletics (nineteen of them), intramural
athletics, supportive physical education, spirit team, forensics team, aggie
judging team, Santa Rosa Junior
College Childrens Centers, ethnic
programs, Enabling Services, the band,
the choir, theatre arts, the art gallery,
noontime entertainment, art and
lectures, student project/film grants,
health services and much more.
ASSOCIATED STUDENTS
The Associated Students is governed by the Student Government
Assembly which is the legislative body
of the student government on campus.
The officers are elected by the student
population-at-large during elections
each Spring. Any student who is a
member of the Associated Students
may run for an elected office. There are
also many appointed offices. Complete
requirements for the elected and
appointed positions are available in the
Student Activities Office.
The offices of the Associated Students and the chambers of the Student
Government Assembly are located in
the Student Activities Office next to the
Bookstore in the north end of Pioneer
Hall.
Doyle Student Center
Doyle Student Center, a major part
of the Student Activities complex,
houses the Cafeteria, the Bears Den,
the Student Lounge, the Game Room,
the Club Room, the Staff Lounge and
the Reentry Office.

Breakfast, lunch and snack bar
service is available Monday through
Thursday from 7:30 A.M. 4:00 P.M.
and on Fridays from 7:30 A.M. 3:00
P.M. Evening meals are served Monday through Thursday from 5:00 P.M. -
9:00 P.M.
Bookstore
The campus bookstore is operated
by Santa Rosa Junior College. The
bookstore offers new and used textbooks as well as references and general
reading titles.
In addition to texts, the store carries
a wide selection of school and office
supplies. The stores Art and Engineering Department carries a comprehensive line of products. The store
also carries sundries, snacks, gifts,
clothing and a wide selection of
calculators.
In all areas of the store there is a
commitment to provide quality and
convenience.
During the school year the normal
refund policy of five days applies to all
merchandise except computers and
software. There are NO refunds on
computers and software.
Textbook Buybacks
In order to provide the largest
number of used texts possible, the
store offers to buy back texts which
will be used for the following semester.
Textbook Refund Policy
At the beginning of every semester
(Fall and Spring) a student will have
three weeks from the first day of
classes to return any textbook purchases that semester for a full refund
provided they have the current semester receipt and the book is in the same
condition as when purchased. The
closing date for full refunds is posted
in the store every semester. During the
school year the normal refund policy
of five days applies.
