Financial Aid, Grants and Loans
Financial Aid and Grants
Financial aid is available for costs that are directly
related to attending college when these costs are more
than students or their families can afford. The eligibility
for most financial aid is based on financial need, which
is determined by the Financial Aid Office from
information submitted by the student and/or family on
the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). You
are urged to complete your application by April 1st prior
to each academic year, although FAFSAs are accepted,
and most aid is available, until the following Spring.
Applicants must show satisfactory academic progress and
must have a transfer, certificate or degree objective.
General information about jobs, grants and loans offered
by the Financial Aid Office is available. Various dollar
amounts shown and regulations regarding financial aid
are subject to change without notice due to governmental, state and local requirements. Request a financial aid
handbook for more details.

MESA California Community College Program
(MESA CCCP)
The MESA California Community College Program
(MESA CCCP) is an academic program that supports
educationally disadvantaged community college students
to excel in math, engineering and science so they can
transfer to four-year institutions as majors in these fields.
The MESA CCCP program is designed for students who:
1)declare a math-based, science-based, computer science
or engineering major 2)intend to transfer to a four-year
school, and 3)satisfy specific academic and economic
criteria. Students must complete an enrollment process
in order to receive MESA CCCP services.
MESA CCCP is based on a rigorous academic program
that uses various components to support students
majoring in math, engineering and science. The
program components help build an academically based
peer community to provide mutual student support and
motivation. This community of learners is what sets
MESA CCCP apart from other programs.
