The Student Association for the Environment (SAFE) was created to unite students of The Claremont Colleges who are concerned about environmental issues. In addition to publishing a monthly environmental newsletter and bringing speakers to campus, SAFE is also actively involved in a campus-wide recycling effort, sponsoring the annual Inland Empire Environmental Education Fair and initiating group projects that address varied environmental concerns.
