About Biology...
Under the title biologists are a
number of specialized career areas
that all relate to the study of life. Biologists spend their lives dedicated
to learning more about how life and
living things function and interact.
Biologists conduct scientifi c tests
on everything from microscopic
organisms living 20 miles below the
surface of the ocean, to entire ecosystems, to the complex functions
of the human body.
The Biology program at NWCCD:
Sheridan College and Gillette
Campus is designed to give students a broad background in the sciences with an emphasis in
the biological or life sciences. The goal of the program is to provide students with knowledge in
the biological sciences, chemistry, mathematics and general education electives to prepare them
to transfer as juniors to a university in the specialty they choose. NW

You might say that in many
pharmaceutical dispensaries,
pharmacy technicians are
invaluable. Without their
assistance, pharmacists would
be inundated with prescriptions
that could take a considerable
amount of time to fi ll, which
would cause lines to form and
customers tempers to rise.
Pharmacy Technicians must
work under the supervision of a
Licensed Pharmacist.
The primary duty of Pharmacy Technicians, whether they work in a hospital or retail pharmacy
is to work directly with the patient or customer receiving written prescriptions, mixing and fi lling
them according to the pharmacists direction. Pharm Techs, as theyre sometimes referred t
