11 Wood Construction Connectors NEW PRODUCTS FOR 2006 LGT3-SDS2.5 Girder Truss Tiedown The HDU series of holdowns are the latest in a long series of innovations from Simpson. These holdowns combine the advantages of low deflection and high capacity from the pre-deflected geometry with the ease of installation of Simpsons patented SDS screws. Page 35 HDU Holdown The ICFVL Ledger Connector System is engineered to solve the challenges of mounting wood or steel ledgers to insulated concrete form (ICF) walls. Simpsons new ICF component of the system, the ICFVL, is designed to provide both vertical and lateral, in-plane performance. The system is still quick, versatile and easy to use but now provides the lateral loads many have requested. Page 172 ICFVL Ledger Connector System As an alternative to coil strap, our new FSC connects upper floors to lower floors from the inside of the wall. The convenient obround holes make installation in narrow wall cavitities easy. Installs to studs with nails and through the floor system with a all thread rod, a nut and washer (not included). Page 159 FSC Floor Span Connector The LGT3-SDS2.5 is a high capacity girder truss tiedown for 3-ply girder trusses with over 3,500 lbs. of uplift. It does not require attachment to the top of the truss, allowing installation after the roof is sheathed. Featuring SDS screws into the truss for higher load capacity and low profile connection to studs ensures easy installation of drywall. It can be installed on the inside or outside of wall and provides additional bearing enhancement for heavy download applications. Page 153 and 167
