course format this course is designed to allow students hands-on practical experience accompanying classroom lecture information the course will consist each week of three daily lectures mon wed fri one small group lab practice the monday before a lab and one lab interaction with an assigned child every other fri m w f lectures three days of each week will be spent acquiring information relating to the assessment and treatment of articulation/phonological disorders seven fridays will be omitted due to labs because of the nature of this class and the relatively small amount of required reading lack of attendance will definitely result in poor performance as demonstrated through examinations and class projects roll will be taken randomly as class attendance indicates small group practice every other monday the course will be divided into project groups of approximately 4 to 5 people per group on most mondays the groups will meet with the lab assistant during class time to practice

plan ahead to complete all assignments on time late projects will not be accepted if a student turns in a lab assignment without complete demographic information child s name birthdate chronological age date of testing place of testing and your name 1 point will be automatically deducted if a student turns in a poor written assignment as determined by the lab supervisor two points will be given for that assignment small group projects 50 points as a team you will develop a 1-2 page write up single-spaced and a 15 minute class presentation your presentation/handout should include the following for references 2-3 professional clinicians in utah including name and place of employment two internet sources and 4-6 written sources use group members in demonstrations have material available and ready to teach class members in small groups as needed situation #1 /r elicitation seven year old male named richard rider be prepared to teach us how to elicit all forms of /r and to fix even the
