Human
More people are killed and injured in at-work road accidents
than in all other occupational accidents put together. This may
account for a staggering 20 fatalities and 250 serious injuries
every week.Work related road safety is now embedded in the
Governments road casualty reduction statistics. No organisation
has done more to promote safer roads than RoSPA, the undisputed
leaders in the field.
Legal
As an employer you have a duty of care towards those who
drive for work purposes. Just ensuring that company vehicles
have a valid MOT certificate, and drivers hold a valid licence
does not satisfy your legal responsibilities. Health and safety
law applies equally to both on-the-road activities and
traditional work place activities.
The Health and Safety at Work etc Act 1974 requires you to

which help minimise the burden of assessment, whilst
maximising the potential gains. Developed following years of
experience at the forefront of occupational road risk, the
flexibility of the RoSPA range offers employers services to suit
specific requirements. Solutions can be pursued in isolation, or
used in conjunction to complement one another.

Personal and Behavioural Development
Any responsible organisation would agree that the best
way to keep employees safe and healthy whilst at work
is to train them fully for the tasks they are required to
undertake. However, how many would feel that training
about the personal issues that can affect work
performance is equally important?
Behavioural Aspects of Driving
As a significant factor behind more than 90% of accidents,
human reliability should be understood and managed
accordingly. Knowledge of the behavioural aspects of driving
