Page 6 of Driver and Fleet Solutions 2006 by The Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents4 MORR TM Review and Quarterly Reviews Booking forms can be found at the back of the catalogue In order to comply with the HSE Guidance document, Driving at Work, senior management must address its duty of care for drivers. This requires an assessment of the risks so that they can be understood, measured and managed. With over 20 years experience in Risk Management, RoSPA is ideally placed to assess dangers and analyse data in order to make specific and targeted recommendations for improvement. By working with RoSPA to review existing performance and develop policies accordingly, you will be taking the first step towards creating a more efficient and effective vehicle fleet. This will help to reduce accident levels, insurance premiums and other crash-related costs. MORR TM Compliance Assessment What is involved? This new, free online service is designed to help organisations carry out an initial assessment of their compliance status and areas of subsequent risk. Via a series of tick-box questions, the selfassessment survey identifies key areas that may require attention. Access the survey at: www.rospa.com/driverassess What are the benefits? Completing the assessment will provide a valuable insight to the organisations current status. If further assistance is required you can submit your results to RoSPA.The RoSPA specialist will then use the information that you have supplied as a basis on which to make recommendations for further action. MORR TM Review What is involved? The MORR TM Review is the ideal point from which to start a loss control programme and is recommended for all organisations who use vehicles as part of their day to day operations. RoSPAs MORR Consultant will spend time with your organisation, assessing existing systems, procedures, control measures and documentation in order to build an accurate picture of the existing crash risk and safety performance of your fleet. This will result in the production of a report advising your organisation on the degree of compliance with existing standards and areas where standards are absent or inadequate or in need of refinement as part of continuous risk improvement. The number of days consultancy will depend on your individual requirements and the complexity of the risk involved. What are the benefits? The objective is not just to monitor driver behaviour, but also to check up on critical parts of the occupational road safety management chain and in particular how well occupational road risk is being incorporated into management decision-making. As this expert analysis often reveals patterns which result in operational improvements, it not only ensures compliance with legislation, but is also a self-financing way to improve bottom line results.[close] |
