VARIAN CUSTOMER EDUCATION On-Board Imaging Implementation For radiation therapists, dosimetrists, and physicists Summary The On-Board Imaging Implementation course is offered to provide the initial training for the individual who is responsible for the implementation and departmental training for the On-Board Imaging system. The course will provide an overview of how the On-Board Imaging system communicates with the Clinac and the verification system, basic On-Board Imaging maintenance procedures, and hands-on training for customer acceptance and quality assurance procedures. It will also provide hands-on training on how to prepare the plan for treatment utilizing the On-Board Imaging system, how to acquire kV and MV images, and how to perform a marker match utilizing 3D image sets from Eclipse. An additional half day of training is offered to experienced users of RPM (Real-Time Position Management respiratory gating system). This half day of training is geared toward users who will be implementing the On-Board Imaging system as part of their already established RPM treatment protocol. The course will cover a basic review of how the On-Board Imaging system is integrated with the RPM system in the clinical environment. This is not intended to replace the RPM (Respiratory Gating) course held in Richmond, Virginia, and it is recommend that all users who are interested in staying for the additional half day of training should already have attended the RPM course.
